First Day of School

Tyler had his first day of school on August 23.  He hasn't been looking forward to school starting because he knows that means waking up early in the morning and then being gone all day.  Both of my boys would rather stay home most of the time.  He is in second grade this year and I am sure he will love it once he gets back in the routine of school again.

He is such a cute boy!  I will miss him being gone to school all day but there have been days when I have been very excited to send to back to school.  We mostly need the routine of the little ones getting all their naps or nobody is happy.
This is Mason's first year of school.  Yes he is starting kindergarten!  He is very excited about it.  I am very interested to see how it will go.  He isn't a big talker to anyone but those of us he lives with.  When he had his day to go to school and get tested he wouldn't even talk to his teacher so we will see what happens.
Mason getting ready to go in his classroom.  He has fourteen kids in his class and he has the afternoon schedule, which is only nice if you have little kids that take a nap.  So while he is gone both of mine take their nap and I most days get at least an hour to do what I need to (like catch up on my blog.)
Mason at his desk.  After he hung his backpack up he just turned to me and told me he would see me after school.  I am glad he was okay with it but it makes me sad every year sending them to school because they are getting so big so fast.  I hate it!  I wish time would slow down.
They both loved the first day of school.

My Cousin

My cousin moved to Logan this summer to find a job and get ready for school to start.  He has been over to visit almost every weekend. We have all loved seeing him.  The little kids love him.  Elly is about the only one that cries everytime she sees him.  I don't know why she is scared to dealth of him.  He is really good with the kids.  It has been fun to have him closer.
Jason with some of the grandkids and two of his cousins.

We were missing a couple of the kids that were there so we got another one.

They are all crazy! They love Jason.  I hope he keeps coming over a lot until it is time for his mission.

Fourth of July week

To start July off we spent three days at a Teichert Reunion, from my Grandparents down, in Huntsville. I forgot my camera so I didn't get any pictures of that.  The kids and I went to that and had a great time visiting with our cousins and some second cousins for them. For the second part of the week my mother's family had a reunion at my parents house, so we headed to that.  The kids had fun playing together there too.
When we got back home we did sparklers and some little fireworks with Jay.  The boys thought they were great even though they were nothing big.

My kids are strange when it comes to doing sparklers because they are always looking for something to burn with it.  They were in luck because they found a bunch of ants.  The poor ants.

This kids can't just smile at me he always has to pull some weird face whenever that camera comes out.

The ants they burned.  I couldn't even get them to do anything else.
You got to love these cute little boys and their funny faces.
