A few days away!

The last weekend in June we went with Jay to work for a couple of days.  We stayed at the hotel and let the kids swim.  While he was at work the kids played in the hills behind the hotel one day, another day I took the kids to the park.  Tyler played on the swing the whole time we were there.

 As you can tell the slide really shoots the kids off it.

 He had to help Elly go down this slide because she was scared of it.  It was a pretty fast and steep slide.

 Tyler felt sick after swinging for so long.  He had to lay down in the back of the car for a while until he felt better.

 When Jay was done with work one day we took the kids on a hike.  The boys had been begging to go hiking (crazy I know).  We found one that we thought we could do before it got dark.

We did the chimney rock hike.  Before we even headed up the trail Elly was already crying because she stood on a pile of red ants and they were climbing up her legs and biting her.  Once we got her taken care of we were headed out for the hike. Mason was in the front the whole time.  I couldn't even see him most of the time since I was with Elly.  After less then half a mile she started to say, "My legs are killing me," "I want to go home" and "carry me mom."  I ended up having to carry her for the hardest part of the hike.  At one point when she was walking I was able to get her to run for a minute when we saw a bunch of ants.  She thought they were going to get her.

 When we got up on top it was the perfect time to see a pretty sunset.

 She made it almost to the top.  She talked the whole way.  If she walked as fast as she talked she would have been in the lead and not Mason.

 The boys finally waited for Elly and me at the top because I had the water and they needed a drink.

 Jay carried Drake for most of the hike.  By the end I had Drake because I was tired of carrying Elly.

 I thought this was just a cool picture.  I wanted just the three kids in it but when I took Elly up Jay just had me stay with them.  I should send it to AT&T for their more bars in more places commercials.

We had a great weekend down there and celebrated Jay's 34th birthday while we were there.

Father's Day weekend

We went to visit Grandpa and Grandma and all the cousin's for Father's day.  We ended up staying for a week with them.  The kids had a great time playing with all their cousins.  One day we had a weenie roast. While the fire was getting ready for roasting the hot dogs the kids had a rodeo on the trampoline with all their cousins.  My brother, Brock, was the announcer.  The kids love him because he is so good with them.

 At my sisters house she has this great tree the kids love to climb.  They are always in it.  I got some cute pictures of them while we were up there.

 One of the days while we were visiting they brought a little pool out to grandma's house for the kids to play in. The big kids were playing in the sprinkler until they decided to fill the little pool with warm water, then the big kids wanted in too.

 When there was warm water in the pool all the kids wanted to me in it.  Looks like fun huh?

It was fun to get to spend sometime with all of our family for a few days.  The kids were worn out by the time we got home and so was I.

Father and Sons

We had Father and Sons a few weeks ago so Jay and the boys went.  The boys were very excited to go without the girls but Elly was heart broken.  She cried and cried when Jay was loading all the boys stuff and not her's.  She really had a hard time when he took her out of the truck and gave her to me.  It was sad but she got over it once they left.

They were suppose to have Jay take pictures of them down there but I never checked his camera to see if that happened or not, maybe one day I will.

When they got home they told me they had a lot of fun.

Smiley little boy

Drake has gotten really good at smiling whenever someone talks to him.  I love this part of little babies.  He has finally started to be a good baby again.  The first couple of weeks he was good and then he was hard for a few weeks.  It is nice to have a happy baby again.

Teddy

This little girl attaches to anything she can find.  She use to attach to any soft, fuzzy blanket but then I took those away hoping it would stop her from sucking her thumb.  That didn't matter she soon found a baby doll that was made out of cloth and would carry that around so she could suck her thumb.  I took that and she still didn't care she just found something else to love.  It is now Tyler's teddy bear, whose name was teddy when he use to have to have it so he could sleep and she also calls it "teddy."  I have decided that she doesn't care if I take it from her she will just find something else so I have given up on taking things like this from her.  I guess she will stop sucking her thumb when she decides to. 

She is pretty funny to watch with this teddy bear.  She loves him and gets mad if the boys are mean to him.  He has to go every where with her.  The store and church are about the only times when she will agree to leave him in the car.  She sure loves this teddy and cries at night if we can't find it.  We are getting pretty good at finding him when she hides him.  She has a spot where she puts everything.  When things go missing we check the bottom of the game closet and it is almost always there.  She is a funny little girl.
