State Wrestling

I am really late getting this posted but in sometimes that is how it works.  In February the kids and I went to state wrestling at Casper, Wyoming.  The kids had a great time being with their cousins and watching the few matches that they watched.  Most of the time the were playing with each other or eating snacks, but they were pretty good and we had a great time.  I had a hard time deciding what pictures to include and what to leave out so there are a few pictures with this post.

Tenor had a bye the first round, so this is him wrestling in the second round.

He beat this kid so he went on to the semi finals.

Elly was good to take a nap both days we were there so that made it easier.

This is Elly in her sweet sunglasses the her cousin, Reagan made for her, it is the wrapper of a gatorade bottle.  My sister-in-law looked really good in them but she wouldn't let me take a picture of that.

Here is Tenor getting warmed up for the Championship match.

The kid he wrestled was from Big Pinney.  This is the championship match.  He got second place.  We were pretty proud of him and are excited to watch him wrestle next year.

I had to post this picture because I thought it was so cute of my brother and sister-in-law.  I know Jamie is going to look at this picture of love it too.

Tyler and his cousin Rylee were pretty much inseperable this weekend.  They had so much fun together.  They don't look like they are having fun but it is only because they are listening to music so they are in they zone.

Then we have these two crazy kids.  I don't know where they came from.  (My little brother and my nephew)

Mason fell asleep during the championship matches so he was still a little tired when we were down taking pictures with Tenor so Grandpa carried him on his shoulders, Mason loved that.

I guess that Tyler didn't get enough of wrestling because he was wrestling Brooklyn the whole time we were trying to get pictures.

We had a great time at state wrestling.  It is the best state event to go to.  The kids love going every year.  Next year Jay is going to go with us since everyone will be there.  We missed Candice and Rodney this year because they are on missions, Tiffany's family couldn't come and Camille's family didn't make it either because they were having a baby.  While we were there my dad had his birthday.   I hope it was fun.  We can't wait for next year.

Tyler is by far my best one for taking pictures when I want him to.  I love this kids smile.  He is pretty funny too.

Mason

Some people tell me that Mason is so quiet.  Well I can tell you that isn't true this kid is just as loud as any other kid and he really has a pretty funny personality.  He is almost as hard to get a picture of as Elly is.  He has to pull all kinds of funny and weird faces.  I don't think I every did get his normal smile.

  She always peeks out, but she still thinks it is funny when she takes her hands off.  She is a funny little girl.

The boys love telling her that she is cheating.  They love playing this with her.

I just think that she is so cute.  Somedays she has to wear this hat because I don't like to put the five hairs that she has in ponytail.  I wish her hair would grow.

A snowman finally!!

With all the snow that we have had this year you would think that we would have built a snowman long before now, but we never did.  We finally got out there the other day when we got some good packing snow and built our snowman.  Mason didn't want to come out and help so he isn't with us.  Elly wanted to be out as long as I would hold her, but it is pretty hard to hold a kid and build a snowman so she ended up sitting on the steps and crying most of the time.  She did finally stop and watch when we were putting the finishing touches on him.

As you can see she wasn't very happy when I would put her down.  The snow man turned out pretty cute though and Tyler and I had a great time doing it.  Tyler wanted to make our whole family out there but since Elly wasn't being very good we only had time for the one.  Tyler named him Tyler.

She was so sad that I couldn't hold her the whole time and she is kind of scared of the snow.  She doesn't really know what she thinks of it.  When it is falling she likes it but when it is on the ground she is weird about it.
