My family had our annual camp out again this year. The only compliant I heard was from the kids saying it wasn't long enough. We did have to cut it a day short because of five of our family members were going on trek. Other then that the kids had a blast. The first place the kids go when we get there is to the river. They end up spending most of their time there. They build damns and have all kinds of fun dunking and playing there. We have found it is easiest to have them either put on a swimming suit or just wear their underwear, otherwise we go through a lot of clothes.
The start of the building!
The best part is my younger brothers are so good to get in and play and help the kids. I think they are the brains behind the ideas. The kids love these boys because of the time they spend doing these kinds of things with them.
All the kids get in and play.
We always try and get all the kids to dunk. This always turns into seeing who can dunk the most. This year the kids had pretty good motivation. My brother, Brock, told all the kids whoever dunked the most times in the river he would dunk that many times plus one more in Crystal Lake. The kids really liked this idea. The river is cold but Crystal Lake is freezing.
Tyler ended up being the one with the most dunks. He dunked 41 times. He was very proud of himself because now Brock had to dunk 42 times in Crystal Lake.
If the dunked to many times in a row they would get a brain freeze.
Tyler, Ammon and Lochlyn spent a lot of time in the water building and dunking.
Our little family at Crystal Lake. This lake is so clear you can see all the way to the bottom. It is fed by springs, which makes it the best drinking water and very cold.
This is most of my parents posterity at this point. We are missing Micah, my sisters husband, who was with us most of the time and my brother, McKay, and his family that joined us later this day. We have three pregnant girls in this picture.
Here are Grandpa and Grandma with all but four of the grand kids.

Here Brock is making good on the promise he made to the kids. It took him a while to dunk 42 times but it was so cold he had to come out for a minute and try and warm up. Dad kept telling him it was good enough but Brock didn't want to be out done by the little kids. It was crazy!
Elly loves Killian. She tell me all the time she is going to marry him when she gets big. She loves going up to play with him.
The group heading back down to camp.
Drake loved camping. He could get as dirty as he wanted and nobody cared. Those blue eyes are so pretty!
Mason was off playing most of the time. He would come around when he was hungry or tired.
When we go camping the Tonka dump trucks get a lot of miles put on them. The kids push them all over the place.
The kids were having fun shooting there BB guns through the covert to the pop cans they had set up on the other end.
Elly and Killian caught a worm and were calling it there fish.
These two are pretty funny together.
The kids shooting the BB guns at a target. It started to rain on us so we just finished loading up and head home.
We had another great camping trip this year. The kids are looking forward to next year but we better make it longer so they are all mad about it. It is fun to listen to the kids talk about the camping trips from the years before and see the memories and friendships they are making. They love being together and that is what makes it all worth it.
