Great Grandma Teichert

I have been wanting to take a picture of my kids with my Grandma for a while now.  I finally got it done one of the last times we were there visiting.  She turned 92 this April.  When we are up visiting the kids love to walk down to Grandma's house with there cousins.  She always has a cookie for them and most of the time they end up getting a second one.  She is an amazing woman.  We love you Grandma.

Teichert Family campout 2011

The last weekend in July we had a family camp out with my side of the family.  We had stayed at my sisters house for a few days up until the day we went camping.  While we were getting everything ready to go camping Elly fell asleep waiting for us to go.  She picked such a nice comfortable spot too.
I fugured I should get a picture of her cute hair while she was sleeping since it might me the only time she held still long enough to get it.  I thought if I put her hair in braids it might help it to not get to scary while we were camping for four days.  She was really good while I did it.  We did three braids then gave her a break and had her come back to do the other two a little later.
The first night of camping.  Drake all bundled up ready to sleep for the night.
Mason thought something was really funny.  Tyler didn't sleep with us because he wanted to sleep with the big boys, Lochlyn and Ammon.  Those three boys slept in a tent by themselves every night.  I was kind of surprised.  I would have been scared.
Cute little Elly getting ready to go to bed.  The kids played so hard every day so when night came they crashed.  Elly asked to go to bed everynight.
The kids had lots of fun playing in the river.  A few things we have learned about camping: always have puddle boots, clothing for the kids to get wet in, lots of socks, and more clothes then you think you will need. (Lochlyn, Ericka and Tyler)
These little kids didn't get in on the water fun, they just watched from the side instead. (Killian, Elly, Ainslie, Savanah and Leah)
The kids had fun making roads and hauling dirt from one spot to another. The kids love playing with the dump trucks and shovels. (Tyler and Erika)
 Mason pushing a truck around.
The kids have a good time when we bring a hamick for them to play in.  Elly loved it, except for the times when she would fall out of it.
These four little boys spent most of one day shooting up the pop cans with their BB guns. (Ammon, Lochlyn, Tyler and Mason)
I didn't get many pictures of Tyler since he was off with the older boys a lot of the time, but he did give me a cute smile when he went pasted me on time.
Drake hung out in the shade for a while so us parents could play some games.  We played some ladder ball and a bean bag game. (I think they called it something like, "cornhole.")
Since my brother brought his chainsaw and things for a zip line. The boys and my sister built a zip line from one side of the river to the other. Then they built a bridge so the kids could get back acrossed the river easier.  The kids loved it. Everybody went on it, even the little baby's and my preganant sister in law. It was really fun. Elly even did by herself.  I didn't get a picture of it but I am hoping my sister did.

These three boys had fun building a dam in the river, I think that was what they built.
My cute little Drake with one of my younger brothers, Tenor.
The kids with uncle Brock built a fort up in one of the trees.  I meant to take a picture of that too and never did so hopefully someone did.  The kids played there for along time too.  One night the adults were all sitting around the fire visiting and we could here the kids up in the trees.  They weren't right there by camp either.  I was impress they weren't scared one bit either.  If you haven't figured out by now I am a big chicken of the dark, but the kids didn't seem to mind one bit.  They were all fine when we play steel the flag too.  We played lots of kick the can too.
Every year we take the traditional  family pictures by the little lake.  They are fun to look back at and see how big the kids were each year and who was there.
This is Grandpa and Grandma Teichert with all the grandkids they had at this point.  We have had one more since this picture was taken.  Here we have ten boys and ten girls.  We now have eleven boys and ten girls. This is probably the best grandkids picture we have ever had, nobody was crying!
This is the group of us that made it this year minus Micah who had to leave a few hours before this, Rodney and his girl who were here but had to leave a bit before the picture too and the Jon who didn't make it at all because of work.
The line of our cars on the way out of the mountains.
We all had a great time! The kids decided they still didn't get enough time to play in the mountains.  They want us to start on monday and come home saturday.  The kids decided a couple of years ago the samething, they needed more time together, so we added another day and it still isn't long enough.  I guess we will see if they get more days next time or not.
This is what it looks like when you let four little kids loose in the mountains to have fun with all their cousins.
I know it looks sick, but they loved ever minute of it!
This camping trip is one of the things we do in the summer that the kids look forward to all year.  They have loved this tradition and the memories and fun they have each year make it worth taking the time to go.  I love doing this with my kids and hope that we never have to miss this.

24th of July

For the 24th we went to Wyoming.  The kids rode their bikes to the parade and had fun waving to the people, of course their favorite part was the candy and being with their cousins.

Elly loved waving almost more then the candy.
The kids had fun playing with their cousins all day.  The boys went for a horse ride.  We got to watch my brother ride in the rodeo.  He stayed on and tied for second but I think he should have won. Later that night we watched fireworks.  The kids had a great time.
Jay went home that Monday. The kids and I stayed with my sister because we were going camping with my family on Wednesday.  Monday my sisters took the kids for a horse ride.  It was the first time Elly wanted to ride and surprisingly she didn't even cry.  She loved it this time.  The boys always want to go for a ride when we go to grandma and Grandpa's house.

Hot days

One even, about 8:30, the kids were complaining that it was too hot, so we decided to put the sprinkler under the trampoline and let them jump.  They boys loved it.  Elly thought it sounded fun and was very excited...

until she got on the trampoline.  She didn't like it at all.  She might have liked it better without the boys on with her.
She tried to like it again when she saw how much fun the boys were having, but ended up crying right after she got on.
The boys had lots of fun tricks to show me.
Elly decided she liked watching the boys a lot more then actually jumping withe them.

They love to run under the trampoline and try and sit on the sprinkler.

I love this picture of Tyler trying to show me his muscles.  They are just so big and he is so serious.

They had a lot of fun.  I was surprised they stayed out and played in the sprinkler until it was almost dark.
