Camping up above Indian Creek camping ground, Spoon Creek.

We finally got to go camping again last weekend.  Since the kids had labor day off we got an extra day to camp.  We still ran into church on Sunday but then came back up.  Jay and Tyler were hunting deer with their bows so they got up each morning to hunt and then would go back out in the evenings.  Tyler did get a shot off one of the mornings.
The story is the deer was about 75 yards away down hill and Tyler's farthest pin is 50 yards so he had to kind of guess where to aim.  So he pulled back and let his arrow go.  The arrow hit the ground and bounced up into the deer right where he should hit it.  They followed the deer and tried to find him for 45 minutes but never did find it or his arrow or any blood.  They are sure it didn't get in deep
enough to hurt it.

While Dad took all the little kids on a four wheeler ride Tyler, Mason and me decided to shoot up some pop cans with the BB guns.  We ended up shooting one in half.
The boys and Elly all had fun shooting their bows at the target.
The kids played lots of different games while we were camping this time.  Elly sent us all on a hunt to find a note she wrote to each person and she had us divided into team and then we had to go search for a paper and race back to the rock in camp.  Drake had us play a family football game of two had touch.  Drake also had us do a relay race with a stick for the baton.  Drake kept telling Jay he might be to old to play the relay race with us, it was pretty funny.  Mason set up a American Ninja Warrior course to race on.  I sent the kids on a scavenger hunt to find a tree with our names on it in marker.  I took a picture of it and showed it to them and then they went looking. We also played some corn hole.
Mason decided to shoot a grape with a BB gun.  Elly, Drake and Mason were up every morning heading out to shoot animals with their BB guns.

We ate some really good food while we were gone camping but one night I decided to Dutch oven potatoes and chicken like my Dad use to do for us when we would go camping.  They were so good and just reminded me of how much I miss him being here and doing those fun little things with us.
The kids love driving their remote control cars and Tyler his drone.  The boys found a culvert to drive their cars through.  They loved seeing them jump out of the end.
Kenyan is always nervous around them but he gets really mad when the batteries die and they have to put them away for awhile to charge.
Kenyan and Elly are popsicle junkies!  They ate almost a whole bag while we were up there.
Kenyan laying around drinking his milk wherever he finds a place.
The kids were all so happy when Elly found the hammock.  We have looked everywhere for it this camping season.  We were all glad to have it back so we could lay in it to read a book or take a nap, swing in it or even eat our dinner in it.
The kids made their own fort this time.  We ended up standing tree branches all around the edges for the walls.  It turned out pretty cool.
Just a few random photos of our trip.
We had some really pretty views up camping.  I got a few on camera.
The moon coming up over the mountains!  We had a great time hanging out and having fun in the mountains.  We love camping!
