Fishing at Mamoth

We decided this afternoon to take the kids fishing.  Tyler has been asking to go for awhile.  We loaded up our stuff and food to eat and headed to Mammoth.  The kids were really excited.  Tyler had got a new pole so they had to get it all ready.
Drake loves eating the chips and playing in the dirt.
Elly and Drake where really good to entertain themselves.
While the boys were waiting for a bite you could see all kinds of fish jumping.  They were out to far and our lines kept getting caught in all the moss.
It was a beautiful evening!
Jay grilled hot dogs for us.  Mason was starving and needed something more before the hot dogs were ready.
Tyler tried and tried to catch a fish but never had any luck.
Jay threw his line out a few times but go sick of only catching moss so he stopped.
Mason and Elly wanted to see the fish jumping so they were standing there so nice just waiting to see something.  They finally did see some fish jump.
Mason is a very impatient fisherman.  He doesn't like to sit and wait for something to bite.  He wants to throw it out and reel it in over and over.
The four crazy kids we took fishing.  They sure had dirty faces by the end of the night.  We really had a fun time even though we didn't catch anything.

Flag Football starts

The boys started flag football! This year the boys were on the same team which made it nice for us.  Jay and another day were their coaches.  Our team had four first graders, two second graders and three third graders and only one of those was a boy, Tyler.
We were the 49ers.  The kids had lots of fun.  Tyler did a good job of getting interceptions.
Tyler is running the ball here with Mason right in front of him.
Once a week they play games.  They would have two games right after each other.  We had a fun little team and the kids had a lot of fun.

Labor Day camping trip

We went camping with some friends over Labor Day.  The kids loved it.  The place where we camped was Fish Lake area.  There were tons of different mushrooms all over the place.  The kids went out gathering them up with shovels and dump trucks.
They found some that were the size of a dinner plate.  These were some of the big ones they found.
Elly loves camping.  She gets dirtier then the boys most of the time...
but this time the boys easily were dirtier.  They found a big mud hole to ride the four-wheelers in.

Drake was so hot one of the days we were down there so he ran around in just his diaper.  The kids thought it was so funny!
Elly and her cousin Porter were good friends while we were camping.  They had fun playing games with Chris and going for rides with Doug.
All Tyler and Mason wanted to do was ride the four-wheeler.   To bad they have parents that don't let them only do that.  They were able to find other things to do.
These two boys had such dirty faces!
Drake is just cute.

We had a great time hanging out with some fun people.

Funny Drake!

Drake loves wearing the kids football helmets all the time.  Sometimes he likes to wear the shoulder pads with it but most of the time he likes to wear floaties.
They do make him look pretty funny!  He loves them and wears them all the time.
What a cute little boy!

Back to School

School started for my boys on the 21st of August.  They said they weren't excited to go back, but the didn't seem to mind when it came time to go.  This year Mason is going to be in 1st grade and Tyler in third.  They both have good teachers.  This year Mason's class is split and he finally got to be in the same class as his best friend.  We were very happy about that.  Tyler's class has thirty kids in it this year.
I don't know what the deal is with Mason's smile today but it was pretty crazy!
Tyler is at that stage where they are to tough to smile.  I really have to work at it to get a smile on his face when I am taking a picture of him.
Tyler in his class.  His teacher is Mrs. Tuttle.  I think he is excited to be back in school.  I know he is excited to see his friends again everyday.
Mason in his classroom.  His teacher this year Mrs. Dawes.  When he got home from school today he told me he has the nicest teacher.  Tyler had her and loved her so I knew Mason would love her too.
Today was Mason's first day eating lunch at school.  I guess I didn't prepare him very well because we packed him his lunch with a sandwich, drink, garnola bars and a candy bar.  When it came lunch time the only thing he took was his sandwich box.  When he got home we talked about it and hopefully tomorrow he remembers he is suppose to take his whole lunch with him.  Funny the things you don't even think about.  I was more nervous to send Mason all day then I was to send Tyler because Mason is very shy with people he doesn't know.  Hopefully he does okay.
Elly and Drake had a great first day of school too.  They didn't have any big brothers to tease them.  It was actually really nice to spend some time with my to littlest.  I missed my boys though.  One of the nice things about them both going to school and home at the same time is they can ride their bikes whenever they want to because they will have each other to ride with.

Cousins

We went to Cokeville for my sister, Candice, baby shower.  Later that day my brother, Ryan, thought it would be fun to take the kid up to play in the river.  We loaded up and headed up there.  The water was a little higher then we thought it would be but the kids still had lots of fun.  I thought we would probably only stay for an hour but we ended up being up there longer then that.
Brock has Drake on his shoulders.
Ryan has Ryker and Hudson, Tyler, Killian, Ainslie, Savanah with Elly on her back, Mason and Reagan
Mason and his cousin Gracie are so skinny.
The kids went back and forth a few times.
Ainslie loved it but Elly didn't like it so much.
Drake was happy to just sit on the side and throw rocks in.
They ended up going down the river a little way and decided to jump off the bridge.  Brock would drop Mason down to Ryan.
Tyler jumping off.
Lochlyn, Rylee, Tyler and Ammon all getting ready to jump off at the same time.
My kids had a great time! I am glad Ryan said something about going up there.  My kids were mad we had to leave and head back home after playing in the river.  They always want to stay and play longer.  We didn't end up getting home until 1:30 in the morning.  This was the last trip up there to play before school starts. We don't get up to visit as much as we would like once the kids are in school and busy with their other activities.
It was fun to spend one more weekend with everyone.  We also got to see Jamie's new baby.  He was so cute and tiny.  The kids have all been excited for the new babies to start coming.

Visiting the Dentist

One day Jay called to see if Elly could come and sit with her cousin so he could work on him.  She thought it was great.  He did a great job with her there by him.
She was pretty interested in what was happening.
She had fun holding the stuff for them too.
