Beaver Bash

Tyler's team went to play in a tournament in Beaver the next weekend.  The first day was just pool play to put them into the brackets for the next day.  Since they had lost a game the first day they ended up having to play at eight the next morning.  They lost the first game which put them in the loser side of the bracket and since it was a double elimination bracket they were still in but had to win to stay in it.  These boys played so hard the rest of the day.  They played one game after another.  They would get the win every time in the last inning of the game.  They didn't get a break for lunch either.  One of the moms ran and grabbed them some burgers to eat when they were in the dug out and they would run to the bathroom between games.
It was a very long day, but the kids had fun.
Tyler had some really good plays on first base and it was really fun to watch these boys.
Their was a play ground out in the out field so the little kids were fine staying at the ball field all day too.
These boys ended up making it all the way back to the championship game!  By this time the boys had been playing since eight in the morning and this last game was about six  that night.  If they won it they would have to play the same team again since that team hadn't lost yet.  Mason got to be a sub for Tyler's team this week since they ended up having a boy on the team leave during these games.
Drake had a great time!  As long as he had a ball and his bat he was happy! He had all the snakes a kid could want too.  Plus he had his cousins there to play with.

Since Camille was staying down at my house for swimming lessons they came down with us to Beaver to watch the boys.  Camille stayed the night at Brittny and Eric's house in Minersville, which is right close to Beaver.  Brittny and her kids came and watched the boys games both days also.  The kids all had a lot of fun together playing and watching some baseball.
Tyler's team ended up losing the Championship game, which we all decided was okay because they were so tired from playing all day long without a break and they had played so hard all day.  They did a really good job and all had a lot of fun!

Genevieve!

It is a very good thing my sister has a little baby because my kids have just loved her.  Elly and Drake can never get enough of her.  They have to always be holding her or be right there in her face.
Thank goodness Genevieve was pretty good with it most of the time.  She did get sick of it though.  The kids never seemed to mind when she was crying because they wouldn't back off.
Drake loved holding her too.

Tyler's Baseball team in Kanab

This year Tyler is playing on a traveling team.  Their first tournament was down at Kanab.  We had to get up and leave early Friday morning.  They played a couple of games Friday and then a couple on Saturday.  It was really hot but the kids had a lot of fun playing ball.  The kids on his team are really nice and Tyler gets along with them really well.  Tyler likes the coaches too.
Mason had fun watching Tyler play baseball because some of his friends were there watching their brothers play too.  This is Mason with his friend Monty.  These two have become friends because of wrestling.  They have fun together.
After a long day playing out in the sun and watching baseball all day Drake was very tired by the time we got to our room that night.  Drake had so much fun throwing rocks and balls all day.
The boys played a few more games on Saturday and did really well.  The boys ended up taking second place down here.  They had fun and did very well for their first tournament of the year.
They got shirts for taking second place.
This is Tyler's team and coaches.
By the baseball fields they had a park that had this fun little water place for the kids to play.  We let the kids play here for a little while after Tyler was done with his baseball games before we had to get on the road and head home.
They had friends that stayed a played for a little while too.  They had so much fun.  Elly and her friend, Gentry, had so much fun chasing and running from their brothers.  They were trying to throw water on each other and just had so much fun.
It really was a fun weekend to just go hang out and watch Tyler and his team play baseball.  Watching baseball is pretty much we are going to be doing this summer because both of the boys are on different traveling teams.  It a good thing we like baseball!

Mason Baseball

Mason loved baseball again this year, which isn't a surprise at all if you know Mason.  He lives for sports and loves pretty much every minute of them.  He loved his baseball team this year and had so much fun playing with his friends.  He liked having his dad coach and his friends dad coach.
Drake loved going to the games and playing ball while we were watching the games.
Mason hit the ball pretty much every time he was up to bat and only got out a couple of times.  If he was a little bigger his hits would have gone a little farther.  He hit the ball pretty good this year.
Mason did some pitching this year and really liked it.  He also played some catcher, first and short stop.

Tyler 's baseball

It makes me very nervous when my kid is pitching.  I never worry when it is any other kid but mine pitching.  Tyler got to pitch about every game this year, only an inning or two.  He did a pretty good job!  My favorite place to watch him play was first base though.  His team was pretty fun to watch.  This was their last game of the season.  They should have had one more game but things happened and so they didn't end up having anymore.
Tyler is a pretty good hitter too. He hit a couple of balls really good this year.  Tyler also got hit a few times this season too.  He always got up and ran to the base but a couple got him really good.
Tyler is excited to get to play on  traveling team this summer!

Mason's school play "Get your Lemonade"

Mason's school class did a play at the end of the school year "Get your Lemonade."  Mason was one of the three little pigs, Cory and Joey were also little pigs with him.  They were really cute and did a good job on their lines.  They had cute dances and songs.  Elly and Drake really liked it and went with me to watch it the both times Mason's class did it.
Mason saying one of his lines, "Every last drop was oh so delicious"!
Mason was a cute little pig!
Mason and his best friends, Kade, Chase and Joey!
The kids all did a really good job with their parts.  It was a really cute play!

Tyler's School play "Spaced out"

This year Tyler's school class did a class play.  It was "Spaced out."  Tyler had three lines in the play and did really good.  All the kids were so cute in their costumes.  All the kids did so good on their parts.
They did a good job on the songs they sang too!
Some of the kids were planets
Tyler saying one of his lines.
Tyler's school class, he was in the third/fourth split this year.
Tyler was Isaac Newton in the school play.  He was so cute with his awesome wig, thanks to my friend, and bath robe we were able to find for his costume.
The play turned out so cute.  The kids put it on two times that day.  Elly and me went and watched both of them.  She loved it and thought it was so cute.  She was singing the songs from it for days after.  Drake was good for the first one but was sleeping for the second one so my neighbor stayed with him.

Tyler's field trip

This year Tyler's school class went to the desert for their field trip.  Tyler asked me to go with them.  Jay would have loved it.  We say the dinosaur foot prints that are in the rocks down there.
The kids loved running all over the rocks.  They had a guide that made the kids laugh and he did a good job.
All the kids that were on the field trip with us.
We also saw a bunch of Indian writings while we were there too.  Mr.  Peacock taught the kids the difference between petroglyphs and pyro glyphs.
We are lunch at swinging bridge and then let the kids go and play in the water after.  The kids loved it and they all got soaked.  The kids even got one of the parents to jump in with them.  He was all wet.
The ride home was pretty quiet the kids were tired and eating their snacks.
When we were about three miles from home the bus broke down.  We had to wait for another bus to come and get us.  We didn't have to wait very long though.  It was fun to go and spend the day with Tyler even though I don't really love going on field trips.  It was fun to see him with his friends.  It was nice to be able to go and not worry about my kids.  My parents were there that day to watch Tyler's baseball game that night so they kept Elly and Drake with them.  They actually ended up taking the kids to Green River with them.  The kids had fun with them.

Elly's Gymnastics show

Elly just finished her second year of gymnastics.  She loved it again this year, but this year was really fun for her because she had lots of friends in her class.  She loved both of her teachers too!  When they gave Elly her costume she was so excited about it.  We had to stop at Jays work and show it to him.  She thought it was so cute and she just loved them.
Elly with her best friend Ava
She has really improved this year.  She is finally getting where her back actually bends.  She was so stiff last year in her back.
Amanda O'Neil and LaRae  were her teachers this year.  They had their work cut out for them, especially on the days when it seemed like they were all dosed with sugar before they came to class.
We worked so hard to get Elly to every practice so she could get perfect attendance.  She was pretty excited about it when she got her award.  We thought she was going to get an award but it was just a piece of paper, she was happy though.  She was excited when Grandpa and Grandma Teichert showed up to watch her perform.
It worked out so nice for them to come and watch my three kids each be involved in there thing.  Mason had a game right outside of the gym where Elly did her gymnastics so they watched Mason until it was time for her to perform and then they watched her and then were able to go back out and finish watching Mason play.  They stayed over night and watch Elly and Drake for me the next day while I went with Tyler on his field trip and then watched Tyler play in his baseball game that night.  I was fun to have them there to watch my kids in their activities.  They each really loved having Grandpa and Grandma Teichert there.
I was proud of Elly with her gymnastics.  She loves it and really works hard to be better at it.  She is always doing cartwheels all over the place and always wants to show everyone how good she is getting at them.  She did so good in her show and looked so cute.  She is a fun girl, full of energy and some attitude too.

Tyler's Baseball

Tyler is loving baseball.  I think it is his favorite sport.  When baseball season comes it is all Tyler wants to do.  He has made me have to learn how to throw the ball better so we can play catch.  It has been fun spending that kind of time with him.  He is starting to throw the ball harder which scares me because then I really have to catch it or I am going to be chasing it.  I am loving watching Tyler play ball.  He is fun to watch when he is up to hit and when he is out in the field.
He is playing on a fun team this year and gets along well with all the kids.
We get to spend four nights a week at a baseball game watching either Tyler or Mason and which ever boy we aren't watching is at practice so this season has been a little crazy for me.  Drake and Elly have been so good about being a the baseball field most nights.
