Mason is 6

I can't believe Mason is six already!  For his birthday he wanted me to bring maple donuts to his school class.  We took some balloons with some of his favorite treats to him in his class.

His cute birthday hat he got at school.
That night after Jay got home from work we had Mason's best friend and his family come over for birthday cake and presents.  His friend gave him a fun angry birds game.
He got wipe out for the wii.
He was starting to get nervous on the last birthday present because he still hadn't gotten the one thing he had asked for and he was very sure he was getting it.
He very relieved to find the catchers mitt he had asked for.  His faces was so cute when he opened the box and saw it.  What a cute boy!
Mason's ice cream cake and six candles.
Mason and his best friend Joey.  These two boys are so cute together and have the best time when they get to play.  They would play with each other everyday all day if they could.  Mason couldn't have a better friend.  He was glad he could come to his birthday.
Mason is a great kid and we love him so much.  He is a big tease, but can play so well  with his brothers and sisters too.  He loves playing any sport there is and is pretty good and most things he tries.  He is a good student and very good at math and reading.  He is growing up so fast it makes me kind of sad.  He is a sweet boy and fun to have around.  We love you Mason! Happy 6th Birthday!

St. George

Jay had a class in St. George this weekend.  We thought it would be fun to take the kids and spend the weekend.  We were all excited to get out of the cold and wind and spent sometime in the nice warm sunshine.   This was what the weather was like the whole time we were gone.
It was cold and rainy most of the time and the last day we were there it started to snow.  There was about six inches in Cedar City when we were on our way home.  So we didn't do a lot of swimming and we didn't get to take the kids out and do any fun hikes.
We took the kids to a fun center were Mason got these cool teeth.  On the way home he had them in is mouth and fell asleep with them.  I happened to look back at just the right time to get this picture, a few minutes later the took them out.
On the way home we stopped at Kolob Canyon which was pretty cool and would have been fun to walk around at other then all the snow.  We will have to go back there sometime when we can actually spend some time there.  It was really pretty.
The kids loved getting out here.  They had a little snowball fight with Jay.  Drake was very interested in the snow.  Since we didn't get much snow this year he really didn't know what it was.
Our family
Jay wanted to go to Mountain Meadows and see what that was like.  We drove up there but nobody wanted to get out because it was snowing, cold and already covered in snow.  It was a pretty drive though from what we could see.  I guess we will have to try and do this trip some other time when the weather isn't so bad.

St. George

We took the kids to St. George when Jay had a class down there.  We were all looking forward to it being nice, but it wasn't.  It was cold and raining and we even had snow on the way home.  While we were there we took the kids to a place where they had these little cars.  The kids loved it.

We did some miniature golfing.
It started raining on us so we had to stop half way threw and then come back later.
Mason won these teeth from the arcade games we played.  He fell asleep with them in on our way home.
Cute little Drake sucking his thumb and holding his blanket.
It would have been really fun if it would have been warmer.

Quit the pair!

Elly has been in a funny stage lately.  She is always changing her clothes, that part is normal, the new part is now she is putting on the boys clothes if they leave them laying around.  This is one of the awesome outfits she put together.
Drake is always trying to put the clothes he finds on too, this day it happened to be Elly's jacket.  When he can't get it himself he will cry or bring it to me to help him.
These two are pretty funny. I am thankful for those good moments.

Mason

Mason is one of those kids that has never been great at taking a nap.  He is always on the go and has something to do.  The funny thing is after he has done this for a few days he will all of the sudden just hit the wall if you leave him watching a movie or if he just sits down for a few minutes he will be out for hours.  If he does it about five at night he will be out until morning.  I wish I had the energy Mason does.  I can't even imagine what I might get done.  You can tell he really needed to catch up on his rest.

Easter

Drake was the first kid awake at our house Easter morning, which was nice because we were able to watch him walk around and find eggs.  He loved it. Throwing the eggs down the stairs was one of his favorite things and then going down and getting it.
We finally had to wake the kids up so they could find eggs before church.  Elly loved the gum in her basket and the dollar she found in an egg.
Tyler was excited about the book he found in his basket and the money in his eggs.
Mason loves the cars from "Cars" so he was excited to find two of those in his basket.
Our cute little kids Easter morning.  I though I took a picture of them all ready for church but apparently I spaced doing that.  They looked cute anyway!

Dying Easter Eggs

Dying Easter Eggs is one of the kids favorite things to do.  They get so excited about it.  It seems like there are never enough eggs to dye.  My kids always want to be right on the table to.  It was surprising to me there were no spills this year.
Our cute little kids!
Tyler love using the clear crayon.  I loved what he wrote on the egg.  It said, "I love you mom."
Mason loved checking on the eggs to see if they were dark enough or if they needed more time.
Elly loved putting the eggs in the water and sometimes didn't want to wait for the cup to be empty.
Drake was very excited when we let him up to the table, there was so much stuff he could spill all over.  Jay helped him dye and egg and then he had to get out of there.
Everyone busy dying eggs!
Each kid got to dye an egg with their name on it.  The eggs turned out so bright and pretty.
