Tyler had his 8th grade graduation tonight. They did a really good job with the decorations, dance and program. It started with a group of kids dancing to a song from “The greatest showman.” Each kid got a chance to dance in small groups. Tyler is behind the girl in the blue dress so you can’t see him very good.
Then they had a few kids talk, Abby Johanson played the piano, a couple more talks that were nice and short and then Byron Christiansen played his guitar and sang “Humble and Kind.” Then they handed out awards. Tyler got one for top language arts student and then for finishing 8th grade with a 4.0.
His program was less than an hour. We got a couple quick pictures and then were kicked out so they could have a dance. The dance was Tyler’s first dance he has been to. I’m kind of surprised he wanted to stay.

I got a picture with some of his friends. He has a pretty good group of friends his age.

Right before we left Elly wanted to have her turn to get a picture with Tyler. Tyler is a pretty good brother to her.

Since Tyler and Mason stayed for the dance Dad let us go to Fattys for dinner tonight. Drake really needed a corn dog so Dad let us go.

Cute little Kenyan waiting for some food and playing with his cars.

The kids were really good while we were there which is always surprising when that happens.

It’s crazy and sad how fast my kids are growing up and even more crazy that Tyler is headed to the High school next year!
