Just cute!

I just thought that this was a cute picture of Elly. She was just laying on the table being so cute and happy while I was making dinner.

Happy Birthday Tyler!

Jay had to go to work early so Tyler wanted us to wake him up so that we could do his birthday before Jay went to work. He didn't know what to think at first because he was so tired from the day before. He didn't get his nap and he went to bed late. It only took a couple of minutes though before it all clicked. He has been needing a bigger bike for awhile, but we were holding out until his birthday.

I had to take the training wheels off it for him. He informed me that he didn't need those, which ofcourse I knew.

We were outside ridding bikes by 8:30 and stayed out there for almost two hours. I guess you could say the bike was a hit. We just wanted him to get to enjoy his bike all day.

We did his birthday cake when Jay got home that night. He had a ice cream cake and ofcourse we had to blow the candles out a couple of times. We even let Mason get in on the action. I let Tyler pick what he wanted for dinner since it was his birthday and he ofcourse picked steak, mashed potatoes, corn and stuffing. He is a steak eater.

We also gave him a dry erase book that he can practice his letters on. It is hard so he can even do it in the car when we travel. He was very excited about that. He love to write and asks me how to spell things all the time.
Tyler has been so much fun. I am wishing thought that he would stop
growing up. I am not ready for my little guy to go off to school and not
need me as much. He is a good kid and a big helper to me. We love you Tyler.

Happy Birthday Mason!

Mason turned three this month. When I asked him what he wanted for his birthday all he could tell me was that he wanted to blow out his candles. That is one easy kid to please. He had to do it a bunch of times. We took him to the store and let him pick out his own present because we couldn't think of anything to get him. Tyler gave him the balls. He picked out the bubble machine. I was able to pick out the Kit Kats without any help from him. He could live on those and Oreo's. We also got him Madagascar 2, which they have watch a bunch of times since they got it. Grandma and Grandpa gave him a new bat and some balls. This kid loves any ball. Right now he wants me to pitch to him all day long. He never gets tired of it. He has watched the high school boys games enough times to know what you say when you hit it or foul it or miss it. He is pretty funny.
Mason was very excited about getting Tyler's old bike. We put the training wheels back on it for him and it made his day. I was glad he was happy about it because I didn't know how he was going to take it. Some days he could have been pretty mad about it and said it was Tyler's, but he was just happy to have a bigger bike to ride.
Mason has been a ball of energy since he was born. He is a lot of fun and tons of funny things to say. We love him so much and just can't believe how time flies. It seems like just the other day when they handed me this cute cubby baby with lots of blond highlighted hair and big dimples. Mason we love you. Hope that you had a great birthday.

Easter Sunday

Elly was sad because I put her down.

Mason Went straight for the gum in his basket.

Tyler was so proud of the Easter bunny because he brought him a truck book. "He is so smart," Tyler said.

Mason was made that Tyler was getting the egg out that Mason.

Mason jumping down from getting the eggs on the piano.

Tyler had a gold dollar in his egg.

Dying the Easter Eggs.

The boys had a lot of fun dying the Easter eggs. It ended up being about ten thirty at night when we started since we were with Jay's family. Jay seemed to be almost as into it as the boys were. Mason had fun but since it was late he was having a little attitude at times. Over all dying the eggs is always lots of fun. I loved the colors that the eggs turned out.

Sitting on the table is always a must because they have to make me nervous the whole time that they are going to spill one of the cups and staing the rug like they did last year.

Elly has become such a drooler.
Here is Mason having some attitude.
Tyler and Elly were happy during all the egg dying.
They had fun writing on the eggs and seeing what it was going to look like when they were done. I can't believe that Jay would put BYU on one of our eggs. We broke that one and ate it first to get it out of the house.
Mason finally got a little happier. Jay had to tease him to get him to smile for this picture for me. This is one of my favorite things to do with the kids. Tyler has been looking forward to dying the eggs since we bought the kit a few weeks ago. It was worth the wait.

Elly's Blessing

We blessed Elly Marie on saturday. It was fun to have some of my family come down. We had a lunch after at the church. The little kids had fun playing duck duck goose. I thought that Elly looked beautiful in her blessing dress. Thanks Tiff for picking it up for me. We are loving having her in our home. She brings a lot of joy into all of our lives.

Swimming

Friday night we met my brother's family at a hotel and let the kids swim together. They had so much fun. The dad's had fun but were ready to go before the kids were. That is how it always seems to be.

Easter cookies

Thursday before Easter the boys and I made Easter cookies, that is what Tyler called them. They really were just sugar cookies. I had bought the six pack of Easter sprinkles from Walmart, which provided the kids with lots of fun. They made eggs and bunny shaped cookies. I let them frost them too, but they both gave up on that after a few. They really just wanted to do the sprinkle part. You can tell that they got a little carried away with the sprinkles on them. After we took them around to a few friends. Making cookies together is always a great activity for them.

Fun with Devin

We went to wyoming last weekend for the kids Great Grandma's 90th birthday. I wish I would have been able to get my camera out fast enough to get a picture of that but I didn't. The kids had a lot of fun at grandma's party.

While we were up there Devin got to come out to Grandma's house and play with Mason while his mom went to town. Mason and him and so much fun. They ran around and around in circles. They would stop every now and again when Mason would ask Devan if he wanted to wrestle. It was pretty funny to watch them try and get each other down. Once they would tip over they would get up and run again. They also found two balloons which also provided entertainment for them. They would through them over the short wall, laugh and then go get them and do it all again. Mason is loving that Devan is now a big boy.

Three months old

Elly is three months old now. She is lots of fun. She smiles all the time and is such a happy baby. I am very excited that her hair has finally started to come back. She still looks bald but it is coming. She has been sleeping through the night for a couple of weeks. Some nights it is thanks to her thumb. She doesn't even cry she just pops that thing in and is back to sleep. I don't like that at all.
