Easter weekend

For Easter weekend we went with Jay's brothers family and rented a house.  We went from friday until monday.  The school kids had spring break during some these days.  The kids had a great time together.  In the basement of the house there was a big room that had a projector on one wall with couches and bean bags on that end of the room and then the rest of it was just a big open room and on one side there was a foozball table that the kids had a great time playing with.  We hardly saw the kids because they just played downstairs the whole time.
Saturday afternoon we dyed the Easter eggs.  All the kids had a good time.  The only bad thing is that it goes so fast.  Tyler, Mason, Autumn and Karleigh did most of them.
Jay and Elly were hanging out watching the basketball games.  We had to have her show us her crazy face and Jay even showed us his.
Tyler and Mason with the eggs they were dying.
Here are all the kids that we had with us except for Kason he had left us for a movie.
Elly with her cousin Porter.
"She can't hear you."
The finished product.
On Easter morning the kids didn't get up very early because they were up so late every night that we were gone.  They all slept downstairs in front of the TV.   The Easter bunny decided that this year he would bring the kids each their favorite cookies instead of a bunch of candy that mom and dad end up eating.  They each also got sunglasses and bubbles.
Elly didn't get cookies, she got M&M's because those are her favorite.  She went crazy when she saw them.

Some pictures of the kids finding the easter eggs.
These two listening to Conference.  What good kids.
The kids all playing Conference Bingo, it really does help them to listen better.
We had a great weekend just hanging out, watching basketball games, Conference and playing games.  We will have to do it again, maybe next time some more cousins will come.

Easter egg hunts

I am very late posting about the Easter egg hunts that the kids went on but better late then never.  The kids did three Easter egg hunts, Mason and Elly, Tyler only did two with us.  I only took pictures at the one we went to with their cousins and it was the one that Tyler didn't go to.

I love these two and the days where they are little buddies.

Don't you love...

Don't you love how funny kids look in swim goggles?  The boys have been wearing them at swimming lessons and so Elly likes to try them on too.  The other funny thing about them is when you take them off then they have circles around their eyes.

First black eye

Elly got her first black eye the other when when she climb up a step ladder and tipped it over causing her to hit her head on the piano.  This girl has pretty much no fear and she didn't learn her lesson because she has tried it again since.
This is also the first time that she has ever said cheese for me when I was talking a picture of her.  She looks pretty cute other than her mom forgot to wash the Mac and Cheese off her face.
This is the eye a couple of days later.
Then a couple of days later.  This is first thing in the morning so she is looking pretty good.  Yes she has something on her forehead to because she ran into the cornor of the wall when she was teasing her dad.  It has been a hard weeek for her head.  Before the black eye she had a bruise on her temple because Mason accidently got her with the baseball bat and a few days before that he got her above the ear with a block, that one was on purpose.  I hope she survives.

Boys

This morning the boys each brought me their swords and asked me to tie them onto them, so once that was done then it was off to battle.  They told me that they needed to go to battle and off then headed out the door.  I was very interested to see what was going to happen next so I watched them. I don't know what the hose had to do with it because they were talking to quietly for me to hear them.  There are many days I wish I knew what was going on inside their heads.
Tyler was looking in the back door to see if I was there.  Once he realized that I was there ready for a picture of him he had to hide his face.
Mason is so goofy.  He learned how to ride his bike without training wheels last year but when we got his bike out for him to ride it he wouldn't do it.  He only wanted to ride the baby bike.  The good news is that he only wanted to do that for a couple of days and then he wanted to ride his bike again.

Friends

It seems like February was a little crazy.  We were gone a lot so when we finally were home the boys loved it when there friend came over to play, ofcourse we have to play "big buck hunter pro."  I love watching them play because they are so serious about it.  Mason thinks he has to help everybody that hasn't played it before.
After being inside a while they decided to go out and enjoy the nice day that we were having.  It is funny how every boy loves to dig with a shovel, it doesn't even matter what they are shoveling.  They had a great time playing out there together.
After digging then out came the dump trucks.  They just looked so cute pushing their dump trucks.  They boys love when a friends comes to play.
