Memorial weekend

We went camping memorial weekend with a couple of friends and had a lot of fun.  There were plenty of kids for everyone to play with.  There were also plenty of pot guts to shoot.  The boys had fun going around with their BB guns trying to find them.
Jay got this guy and let the kids finish him off.  They thought that was pretty fun.
The kids had lots of fun playing together.  It was cold the first two days but the last day was really nice.
My friend, Amanda and her family came up Sunday for dinner.  My kids were so excited to have them come and play.  The girls loved the swing.
Pretty cute little friends.
Together they can be big trouble.  I don't know why my kids always have to be the dirtiest kids when we camp, but they always are.
I don't know what happened here I was busy making dinner when Jay asked me if I had seen what Elly did.  I was surprised we were able to get her clean.
The nice part was when they took their naps.
I noticed I didn't have many pictures of Mason while we were camping and I think it was because he was always off doing something that wasn't right where we were.
The mighty Hunters!
Returning from their hunt.
Drake loved being able to wonder everywhere and get as dirty as he could.
The last day we were there the kids all went for a hike up to these rocks.  It is kind of hard to see them but they are on top of the highest rocks.
While the older kids were gone hiking Pam blew bubbles with the younger kids.
All the kids that were on the hike.  It apparently got hot because they had to take their shirts off.  We all had fun.  I think we need to do it again.  The kids loved having so many kids to play with.

A project started and finished!

I have been wanting to do something about this ugly flower bed for a while.  So I finally just decided to do it.  Jay was gone and when he got home he was in for a little surprise.  He was a good sport about it and helped me finish it.  I had moved all the old cement out of the way, dug out the mini rose bushes and other plants.  I was all ready for the bricks and had hauled some of the dirt to feel in the new bed.
That afternoon we had a finished much better looking flower bed, which is actually a strawberry bed.  I have been trying to figure out where to put strawberries in my yard and finally decided this was a good spot.  After we had everything planted and finished we turned the water on and found that I had broke a sprinkler line while I was digging out the cement.  The next day we pulled apart the one end and fixed the line.
I think it looks so much better.  I am glad to have one more project out of the way.  While I was doing the strawberry bed my kids were helping themselves to the oreos as can clearly be seen my these photos.
What crazy oreo loving kids I have.

Mason's baseball game

I have lots of pictures of Baseball this year.  Mason loved it so much.  They got lots of experience and had lots of fun.  We loved his team.  The kids all improved so much over the few weeks.
Mason loved playing catcher.  He would do it for an inning and then the other kids that wanted to play would get a turn.  They all looked so cute in the catchers gear.  It was so big on all of them, but they didn't care.
It was fun to watch how excited the kids would get every time they would get a hit or do something good.

Tenor's Graduation

My brother graduated from high school so we made the quick trip up to Wyoming for it.  We got there in time for graduation and had to leave the next day to get the kids back for the rest of school.  My kids love Tenor.  He is very good with them and doesn't force them to love them which works in his favor.  It will be sad to not have him there anymore.
I was glad we were able to run up and be there for graduation, I only wish we could have stayed longer.

Mother's Day

These pretty flowers arrived at our house for mother's day.  They actually came a couple of days early since we were going to be out of town on the actual day.

Hard work

Elly told me she was heading out to do some work today.  When I looked out to see what she was up to  this was what I found.   She had found her shovel and was hard at work.
She found plenty of rocks that needed moved from one spot to another, I guess that is one great thing about living where we live.  I was surprised how long she actually stayed out there digging in the dirt.  It was pretty cute to watch her.

Long skinny's

Elly has an addiction to ice cream sandwiches, or long skinny as my brother calls them.  Elly also calls them a long skinny now that she heard Tenor call them that.  She is my only kid that loves ice cream.  Tyler and Mason will eat it if I remind them we have it or if it is a birthday and Drake doesn't like it at all.
This day she NEEDED one while she watched a movie.

Elly's Gymnastics show

After months and months of practicing gymnastics, Elly's show finally arrived.  She has loved going each week to her class.  Her class had two other girls when we started but the last couple of months it was just her and one other girl, which was so nice.  They had lots of time with the teacher.  The rest of the kids her age went to the afternoon class.  We loved the morning class, her teacher and the other little girl.
She was very excited to do her gymnastics so dad could see her.
The cute hairstyle she wore for the show.
Elly sitting out on the floor waiting for her groups turn.
This was the little girl that was in Elly's gymnastics class, Brooklyn and her mom.
The girls doing their gymnastics to "Walking on Sunshine."
One of my favorite things about gymnastics was watching Elly learn how to do a cartwheel.  It took her months of practicing it but she finally got it down.
The group of little girls.
Elly normally does really good on this but I happened to get the one she landed on her head on.
Elly is second from the end with her arm in the way of her face.
The show turned out cute and she did a good job.  She had me worried before they started because when I put her with her class and went to sit down she started crying.  When I went to find out why she was crying she said she was crying because she couldn't find us.  So once I showed her where we were and told her she needed to be happy and stay with her class she was fine.  I was glad she was able to stop crying and do the show.   She was very cute and it was fun to watch her.  She improved so much from when she started.  She is very excited to start up again in the fall.

Our Kids

Here are some pictures of what the kids have been up to lately.  I have been finding Elly asleep in random places, which is always nice.
The boys have been wrestling with each other and being normal rough active boys.
Drake is even starting to figure out how to join in on their fun.
Drake has been as cute as he can be.
My kids have been getting older.

More of Tyler's Baseball

With all the baseball we go to each week the kids have done really well.  Drake loves being outside so he has been pretty good about it.
Since Mason loves all sports he has been fine with it too, especially since he has his own games too.
Tyler pitching
It was always fun to watch him get a good hit and get on base.
