Tyler’s Memorial Day tournament

Tyler’s baseball team played in the Memorial Day tournament Friday and Saturday. Friday they played in Heber City and won the first game and lost the second game. Camille and a few of her kids came to watch so that was fun. Tyler played really good. He hit good and did a great job on first base. It’s been fun to see him back on first base again. He has been playing catcher a lot because we haven’t really had anyone that wants to play there. Tyler is a really good catcher too!

While the boys were waiting for their second game they were all, minus Ryker, just sitting like this talking to each other and watching the game. I got up to take a picture of them and they all started getting up to warm up. I made them all sit back down so I could get a picture of them and we had Ryker get in. We were missing two from their team that didn’t play with us this weekend.
Genevieve was glad to get to see and hold the baby again.
We stayed at a hotel in Lehi, which the kids love doing, so they got to go swimming. Kenyan loves it!  As soon as we get in our room he is taking his clothes off so he can go swimming.

On Saturday we played in alpine. The boys won the first and lost the second that day also. I was able to get a couple pictures of Tyler with my camera on my phone is all this day.

Tatton and me just hang out waiting for them to be done.

Tatton loved just laying in the shade sleeping!  He didn’t get to just lay there very much because everyone is always wanting to hold him.

Kenyan loved playing in this little dirt spot. We had to get handfuls of that dirt and put it by the tree so he wouldn’t get hit by a ball get past the first baseman.

All these kids had fun playing together this weekend, making bracelets and playing wiffle ball.

We had a fun weekend watching Tyler and his team play baseball.

Last day with the kids gone to school!

I’m sad the school days are coming to an end because I have enjoyed my time with just these two boys.

Our cute Tatton is now five weeks old and has finally started to grow. He is so cute and has got all the family loving him to pieces!  We finally had to move out the newborn clothes and get out the 0-3 month clothes. I love his cute scowl face he seems to always have.

Kenyan is growing up so fast, especially the last month since Tatton got here.  It seems like he is so big now and he has started talking like crazy and now we can’t get him to stop most of the time. He is so full of energy and wears me out most of the time.
He is always running everywhere and throwing everything he can, not the right way either. We will have to work on his throwing skills.

He loves popsicles and bubbles when the kids are gone to school.

I love this picture of him showing of his muscles, that’s what it looks like anyway.

This is our last day until they will all be home for summer break!

Last day of school 2017-18!

We had the last day of school today!  Tyler and Mason left at 5:30 to get on the bus to go to Lagoon so I didn’t get a picture of them on the last day.
Drake and Elly had a full day the last day which I’m sure was just playing. They are all excited to be done with school and ready for a summer break!
Drake finished 1st grade this year and had Ms Lee for his teacher. Ms Lee was good and he had a fun year. Drake learned a lot. He is such a good reader and very good at math. He grew 1 3/4 inch this school year and was excited because it was more than Elly.

Elly has really liked 3rd grade this year! She made some knew friends and learned lots of new things. Mrs Tuttle was her teacher this year and Elly really liked her.  Elly loved learning to write in cursive.  Ellys hand writing has gotten really good this year. Elly grew 1 1/2 inches this school year.

Mason finished 6th grade this year and was the first 6th grade to be at the middle school. He liked being with all his friends and getting to play sports at the school. He grew a little more than a inch this year.
Tyler finished 8th grade this year. He played all the sports and had a great year!  He has some great friends!  He finished the school year with straight A’s, which was a goal he had. He grew 1 1/2 inches this school year.

Tyler’s 8th grade graduation

Tyler had his 8th grade graduation tonight. They did a really good job with the decorations, dance and program. It started with a group of kids dancing to a song from “The greatest showman.”  Each kid got a chance to dance in small groups. Tyler is behind the girl in the blue dress so you can’t see him very good.

Then they had a few kids talk, Abby Johanson played the piano, a couple more talks that were nice and short and then Byron Christiansen played his guitar and sang “Humble and Kind.”  Then they handed out awards. Tyler got one for top language arts student and then for finishing 8th grade with a 4.0.
His program was less than an hour. We got a couple quick pictures and then were kicked out so they could have a dance.   The dance was Tyler’s first dance he has been to. I’m kind of surprised he wanted to stay.

I got a picture with some of his friends. He has a pretty good group of friends his age.

Right before we left Elly wanted to have her turn to get a picture with Tyler.   Tyler is a pretty good brother to her.

Since Tyler and Mason stayed for the dance Dad let us go to Fattys for dinner tonight. Drake really needed a corn dog so Dad let us go.

Cute little Kenyan waiting for some food and playing with his cars.

The kids were really good while we were there which is always surprising when that happens.

It’s crazy and sad how fast my kids are growing up and even more crazy that Tyler is headed to the High school next year!

Ellys first track and field day!

Elly was so excited when she found out that her class was going to get to do track and field day!  Elly is pretty fast and she loves it!  Elly did all the events but high jump, she thinks she can’t jump.

She learned today you have to run your hardest even if you are beating everyone in your heat. Elly won her heat in the 100 meter dash easily so she didn’t run hard and ended up losing by a second because she didn’t run hard and the girl in the other heat had faster girls.

Elly did really good today. She came away with first or second in everything she did!  She was one happy little girl. I was proud of her too. She went out and competed and did really good today. It was fun to be there and watch and cheer her on.

Elly with all her ribbons!  Elly is such a cute girl and so fun!  She has a great imagination and a tender heart. I love my little girl!

Rookie Champions!!

Drake loves baseball!  It’s is his favorite sport if you ask me. He plays it all the time with his brothers, the neighborhood kids or his team all the time. He has loved it since he could pick up a mitt or a bat. He understands the game too. His team this year went undefeated. He had lots of friends on his rec team this year and had lots of fun.

He got to pitch two innings most games, play catch, short stop and out field a couple times.

He had some great coaches that love these kids and have fun with them.

He loves when he gets to play some of his friends teams. Drake hit really good this year!

Drake’s team was the Yankees this year. He doesn’t like the Yankees so he wore his “Red Sox” to his games. It made it nice for me to find him on the field.

Drake’s rookie team won the Championship and they did it with an undefeated season. The kids all had fun together and had a great year!

Drake’s team has won the Championship two years in a row!!

These boys are also on Drake’s travel team.

These boys on the team are the first graders, Brock Esplin, Jaxton Smith, Drake, Drayden Omyand Brody Bernard.

Since Drake isn’t a Yankees fan when he got home he asked Jay if they could burn his hat and jersey, of course Jay loved that and was all over that idea since he hates the Yankees.

Drake had me send a video of his jersey being burned to his coach because he is a Yankees fan. Funny boy!  It was a fun season for him!

“A Kids Life”

Ellys class got to do a class play this year. She has been so excited about it!  She learned her lines, which weren’t a ton, and sang the songs all the time. She told me the day of the play “ it isn’t very funny.”  It was actually pretty funny!  I think she just didn’t understand why it was funny. The play was about the power going out so the kids can’t use the devices, iPods, phones, TV etc. The kids can’t think of anything to do if they don’t have those things. The grandparents come over and teach them all kinds of fun things they can do without a device. The kids have a great time and realize they don’t need those things. So to the parents watching the play it was pretty funny.

The kids word really hard to learyall the words, songs and dances. It was a really cute play.

Elly was so cute in the play and sang her little heart out!  She was fun to watch!  Kenyan even sat through both times they did it and was quiet the whole time.

Ellys third grade class 13 girls and 22 boys.

Elly loved her teacher this year, Mrs Tuttle.

Elly thinks third grade went by really fast. I think that means it was a good year.

Tyler and Masons band concert

Tyler and Mason had their last concert for the year. Tyler plays the tuba in the 8th grade band. They sounded really good. Tyler has done so good in band. He knows the trumpet and the tuba. This was his last concert since he isn’t doing band next year. It kind of makes me sad.

Mason plays the trumpet in the 6th grade band. They sounded pretty good for their first year in band. Mason is pretty good but he doesn’t love it because all his friends are in choir so he wants to do that next year but his mean mom won’t let him. Band is good for him and so is not being with friends every hour of school.
I love these cute boys and I love watching them learn new things!
