State Wrestling

At the end of February we went to Casper, Wyo. for state Wrestling.  I had two brothers that were in the tournament, Tenor is a Junior and Brock is a Freshmen.  My boys were counting down the days until it was the day to leave. It took us eight hours to get there but all the kids did really good.  We got there the night before so the kids could do some swimming with there cousins.  Friday morning the wrestling started and went all day for two days. The kids did really well.  we packed toys and treats to help entertain them when the kids we know weren't wrestling, plus they did have there cousins there to play with them.

This is all of my family.  This year everyone was able to make it to watch the boys wrestle.  It is the first time we have all been together in three years.  We had a great time together.  While we were there we got to celebrate my Dad's 59th birthday and Camille's little girls first birthday.

This is a picture of all my siblings and my parents.

Grandpa and Grandma with the grand kids, four of them are missing, and there are three more on the way when this picture was taken.
Tenor ended up taking first place at 112 pounds.  It was very exciting to watch him.

Brock got fifth place.  We had fun watching him too.  It was sad to see him lose because he has been wanting to be a four time state champion for so long, but he can still go for three.  We were proud of him though.
As a team they got first place.  Three of the boys that took first place were Teicherts which made Teichert the most winning name in the state of Wyoming.

We had a great weekend watching the boys and are already looking forward to next year.

Sleeping Beauty

The other day I when I couldn't hear Elly playing anywhere I was hoping she had laid down somewhere and fallen asleep.  To my surprise she had laid down on my bed while watching the boys play and fell asleep
with the "Sleeping Beauty" movie she was wanting to watch.

Our second snow storm all year!

Since we have only had two decent snow storms all year so when this second one came we grabbed our sledding things and headed to Grandpa's farm to enjoy it while it lasted.  It was so wet.  We were all soaked pretty fast.  We had a great time but Mason and Elly didn't last as long because they were so wet.  Tyler loved it though.
Mason looked so funny in this ski mask.  He was saying cheese for the camera.
Elly was ready to go home after one ride.
Here they are just getting ready to head out.
It was a good thing we brought hot chocolate because the kids were pretty cold after a while.

You can tell by the look on her face how much she loved it.
 My hot chocolate junkies.
Tyler was the only one that would go back out after some hot chocolate. I would have but someone had to stay with the kids.
We had a great day together as a family.  Hopefully we get more snow next year because winter isn't very fun without it.

Candice got home!

We went and picked my sister up back in January, who was returning from Adelaide, Australia.  The kids were so excited to go to the airport.  We picked up some balloons and a bag of Tootsie Rolls, one of Candice's favorite treats.  I missed Tyler giving Candice a hug.  When she started hugging all the kids she started to cry.  It was pretty cute.
Mason giving Aunt Candyland a hug, that is what they started to call her right before she left.
Elly was not very happy about giving the Tootsie Rolls to Candice.
We had a good part of the family their, but we were still missing McKay's family, Jay, Jon and Savanah.
The grand kids with Candice minus McKay's four kids.
I was so excited to see Candice again.  We missed her so much and have enjoyed having her home.  I loved the accent that she had too.  It was pretty fun to let her just start talking because it would really start to come out the longer you let her just talk.

A Family Outing

Back in January we took the kids out one day to shoot the milk jugs that they had been saving.  We filled them with water, packed us some lunch and headed out.  It was pretty muddy and a little windy so we had the kids wear their snow clothes.
This is one of the kids favorite things to go and do with their Dad.  Each kid got a bunch of turns, even Elly got in on the action.

The kids each had to show me what they did to the milk jug.
Elly showed us the pop can that the kids were shooting at instead of the milk jug. She looks a little wild in this picture.
Even Jay had to get in on the action of shooting up the milk jugs.
Elly spent a lot of time playing in the dirt.  I thought her hands would get cold but she never said anything. Tyler played with her when it wasn't his turn.
We cooked hot dogs in a little gas grill that we turned into a grill that uses briquettes.   They actually turned out surprisingly good for a hot dog. We also had hot chocolate with it.  We had a great time and ended up spending the whole day out their.

All curled up

I decided the other day to try Elly's hair in curlers and see how it looked.  She doesn't like the curling iron, but she is getting better.  So I thought that this might be worth trying if it turned out cute.  First of all I was very surprised she let me put them in her hair and second I was surprised she didn't try to take them out.  She left them alone all night long too.

This is how it turned out the next morning.  Her hair was very tight, but it did relax as the day went on.

Jay loved the curls and we have done them a couple of times since this.  She did look pretty cute.  I had a hard time getting use to the curls since her hair is always so straight and doesn't hold the curl.

Elly turns 2

Elly turned 2 on January 2nd.  She was very excited when she woke-up sunday morning to find balloons and a big bike.  She ofcourse hasn't figured out how to ride it but by this summer she should be ready to learn.  She loves it anyway and can talk her brothers into pushing her around on it right now.  She loved the balloons so it was a good thing her dad remembered to get them for her.

After church we took the kids out so Elly could have a picture the spot where she was born.  She was very excited when we pulled up and there were two balloons already there for her.  Jay had gone out that morning and put them there.  He also had one tied to the car.

The boys wanted to know if Jay was going to put balloons out there every year for her birthday or not.  When we told them we were they asked if we were going to when she turned 100.  I told them we wouldn't be around by then but if they were then they should do it for her.  The balloons lasted out there for atleast a week which really surprised me, they might still be out there.
Grandpa and Grandma  brought Elly over her present when we got back.  She was very excited to tell them about her bike.
That night we took birthday cake and ice cream to Great Grandma and Grandpa's house and had it with the cousins that came there that night.
She wasn't shy like one of the boys was she got right in there and blew out her candles.  She didn't like it when the kids tried to help her.
We let her blow them out a couple of times, what kid doesn't like to do that a few times.
Our beautiful little birthday girl in the dress that she got for her birthday.  She has been so much fun to have in our family.  She is talking like crazy and she is always on the go.  She loves to play with her brothers when they are being nice.  She is the best at going to bed whenever I put her down.  She is just a happy, funny girl.  Sometimes I can't believe she is only two because she acts older then that.  She does have attitude when she wants to but for the most part she has been a great baby and little girl.  We love her so much and are very glad that she is ours.
Happy Birthday Elly! We love you.

Tyler's first...

For Christmas Tyler got his first gun, a BB gun.  He was very excited about it so the first day we could we took him out to shoot it.  Jay and Mason also got a BB gun to share so they could shot with Tyler.
Tyler was pretty exited about the BB gun.  He could do it all by himself and he was very good about remembering all the rules with guns.
My cute boys and their guns.
It was very cold the day we went out to shoot so Elly and I just stayed in the car and watched the boys.
