We went south with Jay for a couple of days since he was going to be working three days down there. While he was working I took the kids and went sight seeing the first day in capital reef national park.
When we got out of the car to go on a little hike Tyler saw this little guy on the ground and said, "Look mom! It is a baby alligator." It is a little hard to see. I did explain to him that it wasn't a alligator.
Tyler and Mason loved getting to hike and run around when I had to stop and take care of Elly.
The first night that we swam the boys were in the pool for maybe thirty minutes when I noticed that Mason's hair was green. They kept swimming but when I bathed them that night I washed his hair four times trying to get the green color out. The next morning I washed it a couple more times so that hopefully it wouldn't be so noticable. Your could see the green color for a couple of days though. I wasn't happy about that. The second night we stayed at a different place since swimming is what they want to do the most and I didn't want Mason to have hair like the grinch.
We tried to swim glasses on Elly. I thought that she looked so funny, so I thought that I would share the picture.
Tyler and Mason love it when Jay throws them up in the air and then lets them splash into the water. The pictures aren't the best but you get the idea. The boys had so much fun.
After we let the kids swim we went for a little drive to see Boulder, Utah and Hells backbone. We stopped here at one of the look outs on our way. I thought that it was just beautiful.
Mason fell asleep on the drive, but Tyler hadn't had enough hiking so we stopped along the road and so Tyler and I could hike up this little hill while Jay looked for animals.
Here we are on the bridge that I have heard so much about. When Jay was a little boy the bridge was just wood and only wide enough for one car to go over it. The drop of on the sides was pretty scarey. I didn't even close enough to see under the bridge because it was so far down. As you can see the bridge is now cement and asphalt. Jay said he could see the old bridge under the new one. We had to come see this bridge so I could see why the Jay was scared when they crossed it when he was around Tyler's age.
The next morning we had to get up and leave when Jay went to work because we had to go to Wyoming for my sister's graduation. We stopped by our house unload our suitcase and reloaded it, plus we had to get the boys bikes. They had been dying to ride their bikes with their cousins. So this is Savanah with my three kids and two of Tiff's.
While we were up to Grandma's house the boys made a pretty cool farm outside on the grass. They played there for hours. On Saturday when we headed back to our house we ended up bring my little brother and sister home with us. They stayed the week with us. It was pretty fun to have them around. We roasted hot dog's out at great grandpa's farm, went to a barbaque, went to the pool and the park and we even took them to help weed the garden.
Sunday after church we took the kids all up to the lake. It was a little cool but the kids had fun throwing the rocks into the water. Mason had fun until Tyler accidently threw a rock and hit him on the head. It sure did bleed for the little cut it left behind. Mason didn't want to be loved for long though because he had to get back to throwing rocks.
Elly loves being outside so she also enjoyed our little visit to the lake.
We headed back to Wyoming on friday night because my nephew was getting baptised on saturday. On saturday while we were at Grandma Teichert's house Elly decided to roll over. I didn't even try and stop her. We have been stopping her when she has tried. I am not ready for her to move or get bigger. She has also discovered that she can suck on her toes to keep herself entertain for along time.
Bath time with the cousins is always fun. It is a lot easier to talk kids into a bath with all of them then just two at a time because kids don't want to miss out on any of the fun. This way there was no fights while we were trying to get ready for the baptism. Tyler was so excited about going and seeing his cousin get baptised. Sunday after church and pudding we headed home. Tyler won't let us leave Grandma's house on Sundays if we haven't had pudding. So thanks for always doing it earlier when we are there for Tyler.

Hey, I love this post. My hair used to turn green too when i went swimming in chlorine, but we got this swimmer's shampoo from Sally's Beauty Supply, and it works really good if you want to try it.
