State Wrestling!!

We went to state wrestling again this year to watch my brothers, Tenor a senior and Brock a sophomore, wrestle.  We all were hoping they would both take state.
Tenor beat the first kid he wrestled.
Brock beat the first kid he wrestled too.
Tenor won his second match.
Brock won his second match.
This made it so they were both wrestling in the semi-finals the first night, which they both ended up winning.
The first night they have the march of the champions, which is pretty cool.  Each team gets introduced and if you are a returning state champion they introduce you and say how many state titles you have.  The kids like it because of the cool glow in the dark stuff.
Tenor wrestling for the championship.  He won it.  It took all three periods, but he did it.
Brock wrestling for the championship.  He won it too!
It was so exciting to be there to watch both of my brothers win first place.  We also watched two of my cousins take first place too.
My favorite picture of the whole event was after Brock finished wrestling for the championship and Tenor came over and gave him a hug.  I love these two boys.  They are so fun to be around and are both so talented.
When we go to state wrestling it is two long days sitting in the event center.  I like to come in and stay until it is over that night.  When they have a little break the kids need to get out and have sometime to move.  We found this little corner where they were able to get some of their energy out.  The kids did really good.  My two little ones were still able to get naps in both of the days we were there, so that makes it nice.
We were able to get a picture of the whole family while we were there too.  It is kind of funny that we are able to get everyone together for state wrestling but have a hard time for holidays.  This is one of our big family things we like to do together every year.
This is Tenor with the top six in his weight
and Brock with the top six in his weight.
This picture is kind of neat because it is the four Teichert's, my two brothers and my two cousins, and my uncle Burke who is so good about traveling all over the state to support his family.  He tries to make it as many things as he can.
The boys in their weight order.
Tenor and Brock with their medals and brackets.
The other cool thing was that the team also took first place.  It was the closest I think it has ever been for them.  I think they only ended up winning it by a point and a half.  So it was a very successful weekend for the team.
The other thing that is the kids favorite is they get to swim with their cousins for three nights.  They love it!  We never get to bed a decent time and have to get up early each morning.  So we all go home tired.
The boys had to show me their cool tricks into the pool.
Drake didn't love the water at first and Jay wasn't feeling very good, so they both look really happy to be there.
My brother threw the kids into the pool so many times.  They loved it.  I think Mason did it a hundred times.
We also had a fun game of keep a way, boys against girls, until the ball popped.
These are my cute little panther fans.
We had a great time and loved being there to watch the boys take state.  It was fun to spend time with cousins and visit with family.  We even had the best traveling weather we have ever had too, which always makes that trip a little nicer.  We are all excited to do it again next year!
