Two months old

Elly is now two months old. Boy that went by fast. She is so much fun. The boys are loving her so much. Mason has to hold her every second. He was complaining the other day that he never gets to hold her. I couldn't believe it because he always has her. She is such a happy baby. We love her so much.

I love this picture of Elly. I think the look on her face is pretty funny.

State Wrestling

Well my three kids and me made it to state wrestling. The boys loved it. I was surprised at how well they did sitting in the event center all day for two days. Mason took a nap both days for me so that was nice. Tyler was entertained by the wrestling, Gracie and his aunts and uncles. Elly slept pretty much the whole time we were there and she traveled even better. The boys had a blast getting to swim each night. They were completely exhausted after the whole trip. That is always nice because then they sleep in for a couple of days and take really good naps. So I am not complaining. We will do it again next year. Candice rode in the car with me. She read four books to me so that was fun. It helped the drive go faster.

We took our family trip last weekend. Every year Jay has a Dental Convention in SLC so we all go up with him. While he is at it the kids and I do go around to all the stores that I want to. The whole time hearing the kids complain that they just want to go to the hotel and swim. We ofcourse can't do that without Jay. So that always makes the trip so much fun. This year we did get to take the kids to see the Draper Temple, which they loved. My only sugguestion to anyone who is still wanting to go is do it in the week during the day. We went on a friday night, which was the only night that we could go, and it was so busy. The kids would have liked it more if there wouldn't have been so many people. They were able to get all the swimming in that they wanted to even if they did have to wait for dad. We also were able to see Randi's new little girl so that was fun too. Our little girls are only four and a half weeks apart. She has a lot of dark hair. I'm jealous. I wish Elly had hair. So after that fun filled weekend I decided I needed to do it again this weekend on my own. The kids and I are headed to State Wrestling. I hope I make it back with out going crazy. Wish me luck.

For all those that know my sister Candice and know that she is waiting for her mission call, she got it last week. She is going to Australia. I can't remember the name of the mission other then it starts with a "A." She is leaving July 8th. I am sad to see her go, but she is very excited.

She is smiling

Elly has started to smile now. I had her laying in her bed the other day while I was shorting laundry and she starting making those cute baby sounds and smiling. She has one dimple just like Tyler and it is even on the same side. Mason was lucky enough to get atleast two.

Boys, Boys, Boys!

I don't know what it is with my boys but I have had to use more butterfly bandaids in the last couple of months then I every have. Actually I never have had to use one on my kids until a couple of months ago. Since then I seem to be the one keeping their company in bussiness. My boys are so rough. I really am hoping that it is all boys and not just mine. If I went to the hospital for every one of the times I have had to butterfly my boys I would basiclly be living there. This shows that kids should listen to their moms when they say, "Stop it you are going to get hurt." Every time. Maybe I should stop saying that to them.

The boys got football uniforms and helmets for Christmas and I will tell you it is the best money I have spent. They have loved them. They will wear them for day and nights if I let them. They will finally take them off when I tell them that they have to get washed. I ofcourse take my time in getting that done so that they will wear something else. Tyler always tells me I will wait until it is done then I will get dressed. Mason is easier to satisfy in that area when I tell him it is dirty and has to wear something else. I wonder how long that will last.

Mason, who is almost three has finally decided that he doesn't like to sit in a dirty diaper. I couldn't be happier. He is doings so good. I am so happy to be done with that. It is weird how they will just change their mind about it over night. He is one of those children that it has to be their idea so all I could do was every morning just ask him if he wanted to wear a diaper or some cool underwear. Finally one day he wanted to. I am loving it.

So two weekends ago the kids and I went to visit my family. On saturday while we were there I took the two boys skiing with me. Tyler learned how to do it last year and is now a pro in his eyes and doesnt' need any help, which is nice. I took Mason on my back and he loved it. He laugh all the way down the mountain. He would say nice turn mom or laugh if he saw some one crash. On our second to the last run Tyler was kind enough to get his ski caught in mine and made us crash. This didn't make Mason laugh. He got over it pretty quick though. As we were skiing down backdoor I crashed us pretty good and that was it he was ready to be done. I am a stubborn mom and wouldn't let him end on that note so I made him go up one more time and he was better but would say to me when I would go to turn , "don't crash mom." Since we have been back home he has asked me to take him skiing everyday. One of these days we will get back up there again. It took a couple of days to recover from caring him on my back all day. It was a blast though and a fun thing to do with just my boys. Tiffany and Candice were kind enough to keep Elly for me so we could go.

So our little girl is one month old now. It has gone by way to fast. All mothers know what I am talking about. The first year is my favorite. After that I seem to be less patient with them as time goes on. The boys still can't get enough of her. I thought that by now they would be over her and want to play with their toys, but they want to be with her first thing. I am starting to feel sorry for her since they are always right in her face. Elly cries almost everytime she hears Mason coming. She is now 10 1/2 lbs. and has grown almost an inch so she is doing very well. She is a great baby and we are sure loving having her. I only wish she could get some hair. It will come I am sure.

Our baby is here!

We finally got our baby. She was born on January 2, 2009 at 2:10 am. She was 8 lbs. 10 oz. and 21 inches. We named her Elly Marie. She is a little chub. She has been a very good baby so far and hopefully it will last. Tyler is so excited to have a little sister and has been very good with her. Mason loves her but is having a hard time giving up the attention. I hope that we survive him
