A Wonderful and Rare Day

During the days that Elly was sick I had a few hours of all three kids asleep while Tyler was at school.  It was so nice to take a shower without any of the kids crying or trying to talk to me, it was peaceful.  I don't normally make Mason take a nap because when he naps then he won't go to sleep at bedtime.  I had him take a nap this day because he looked so tired.  I told him he needed to lay down and get some rest because he had a game that night and needed all his energy.  He laid down and was asleep before the other to fell asleep.
They look so sweet when they are sleeping.  They really are pretty good kids when they are awake too.
One of the nice things about Elly, she is so good to take her nap every day and at night most of the time she will tell me she wants to go to bed.  She has only cried a few times when we have put her to bed.  I love it.  She has spoiled me.
He is just so sweet!

Mason's fifth Birthday!

Mason turned five on the 17th of April.  His birthday was while Elly was sick and since her cousin had the same thing as her we still had birthday for him with Dean and Charity's family.
I am not a cake decorator, but Mason is into baseball right now and he wanted a baseball mitt for his birthday cake.  I did a field instead since I could do it and he was pretty excited when he got home and say the cake.  He loved it.
Mason with part of his present from Dean and Charity's family.
He got a head lamp for camping from us and
a batting helmet.  He wanted a helmet so bad, so he was very excited when he opened it.
Dean and Charity's family gave Tyler and Mason a hitting stick.
Mason wore his helmet the rest of the night.  He looked so cute in it.
Happy Birthday Mason!  We love you so much.
He is so fun to have in our family.  He has such a cute smile and is a big tease, which isn't always fun but is most of the time.  He is turning into a great big brother.  Him and Elly have been having a lot of fun together the last few weeks which has been really nice for me. Him and Tyler are good friends too and it is fun to watch them play together.  I love you Mason.

Five Fun Days

Elly was sick a couple of weeks ago for five fun and very long days.  She was throwing up and had diarrhea.  She hardly ate a thing so I don't know how she had anything left to throw up but some how she did.  All she wanted to do was have you hold her or sleep.  It wasn't very fun so when she finally felt better it was so nice.  Luckily nobody else got it in our family.  I was mostly worried about Drake getting it, but somehow she was the only one.

Baseball

This year has been our year of first for the boys in sports, first with wrestling and now with baseball.  The boys are both in machine pitch this year.  We were lucky enough to get them both on the same team which means one practice and one game instead of having to run each of them to a different practice and game.  They look so cute when they get all dressed up for their games.  Mason's uniform drowns him but he doesn't care, he is just so excited to get to play.
Their first game Mason played second base.
Tyler played first base
Mason talking to his coach (I thought he looked so cute out there with him)
Mason's first hit.  He only carried the bat for a second before he dropped it.  I love the mom in the back ground that was cheering for him.  Her boy doesn't even play on our team.
Tyler's first hit.  He did such a good job.
Tyler sliding in at home plate.  He didn't need to but he wanted to he told me.
The boys at the end of the game with their team.  Mason is #2 the little guy in the middle.  There are two other boys on the team that are almost as small as Mason but they are two years older then him.  Tyler is #3 but you can't see him in the picture.
They did such a good job. They loved it and I am afraid we are stuck with it forever now.  It was really fun to watch them and they look so cute.

Five days old

Just some pictures of Drake.

The whites of his eyes are pretty yellow in these pictures, but they are looking much better now.

Drake really isn't this chubby.  I think it is because his face is resting on his chest.

I think he is just so cute, but I am his mom.

He was looking a little yellow so he spent the day taking in the sun.
Just happened to catch him with a smile on his face.  You can see his dimple pretty good too.

Since we have been home...

Since we have been home Elly has not stopped wanting to hold him.  Every few minutes she comes up to me and says "hold you baby Drake, mommy."  I love the way she says it.  If Drake cries and I don't pick him up as soon as she tells me then sometimes she will start to cry too.  She really has adjusted pretty good so far, not to say she hasn't lost it a couple of times.  She is doing better then I thought she would.
Mason has been such a great brother.  He loves him so much and has been such a great helper.  He is always happy to hold him for me while I do some of the things that need done.  He has been really gentle with him.
Poor Tyler has hardly got any time with him since he has been in school.  Tyler told me having a new baby isn't that fun because all they do is sleep.  He has got to hold him for a few minutes each night before bed.  He has been really good with him and a great helper to me.
When people tell me they will take my kids so I can rest I think they don't realize that my kids have been really good at helping me and letting me rest.
Drake has been pretty cute when he is awake.  He will just sit there and look around and he with sit there awake for about and hour.  I have been surprised that he has had such good eye control.  I know with Elly it took her a good month or two before she could do that.

The waiting is OVER!!

On Monday we had a Dr. appointment first thing in the morning.  They told me I was dialated to a 4 1/2 and at 80% and the baby was really low.  The Dr. on call told them not to send me home but to have we walk around for awhile and then bring me in later to see if things had changed.  Then they would monitor me for a little while and if the Dr. okayed it they would start me.  When they called me to have me come in to get monitored I had changed so they watched the contractions for about an hour and then decided I was at a five and a half and they weren't sending me home like that.  So we started the IV about 5:30 and the baby was here at 9:47.  I thought that they had me on pitocin the whole time but they never did give it to me.  I was very glad they didn't send me home because who know when or where we would have had a baby.
I am very against these kind of pictures of myself but since I don't have any of my like this with this baby I had Tyler take one of me when we were heading up to the hospital.
At 9:47pm we had a little boy.  I was a little surprised because I thought we might get a girl but the last few days I started to think it was going to be a boy.  He was 7 lbs. 8 oz. and 19 1/2 in. long.  He came out face up so he was a little bruised that night but looked better the next day.

Moments after delivery.  (You have to love those pictures.)
This is right after he wes born before they had taken him to get cleaned up.
After getting a bath.  He looks like he is chubby but he really isn't.  The only part of him that is at all chubby is his face.
My dad and mom came down to help with the kids.  The kids loved it because Grandma and Grandpa took them back to our hotel and swam with them for three hours.  The kids were so tired that Grandpa and Grandma couldn't wake them up to come up to the hospital to see the baby when he was born, so they came up the next morning.  I was very glad to have my parents come and help with the kids.

Mason holding his new little brother.  The kids were all wanting a new sister but they have been just as happy with a little brother.  Mason told me he wanted a sister so that he wouldn't have to play with Elly.
 Jay and the kids.
Our four kids.  I can't believe that I have four kids sometimes, but I love them all so much.
Our little family at the hospital just waiting for them to let us go home.
 Tyler with his little brother.
 Me and my little kids.
Elly was really cute with him.  She kept kissing him and touching his checks and saying "so cute."
 Our little Drake D Stilson

We are so excited to finally have Drake here and healthy.  So far he has been a really good baby.  We are only a few days into this but he is so fun to have.  It is crazy how fast you can love somebody.  I love having a new baby in my house.  I love the way they smell and they have the cutest little cry.  This cute little guy has two dimples like Mason.  He didn't look like our kids at first but he has started to look more like them with each day.

It has started

The last weekend of February the boys decided they wanted to try Pee Wee wrestling.  I have been putting this off for as long as I could because I don't want to be running kids from one thing to another already.  I figured that wrestling wouldn't be to bad since it is only a month long one night a week is practice and one night a week is a meet.  The only problem we have had so far is they want to wrestle each other even more then they were already doing.
They have loved every minute of it. They were very excited when they got their singlets.  It takes me days to get them out of them after they put them on for practice.

I finally remember to take my camera last week so we have pictures of that.  I have video the other nights and it is hard not to laugh.  They just look so cute out there.  They know you need to get them on their back but they don't know the moves to get them their, but they are doing pretty good.

Grandpa Teichert did teach them a move after he watched the video of them wrestling and they did that move over and over the next week.

It has been fun to watch them.  We only have one more week and then it will be over.  The boys are calling this last meet their state tournament, which I think is pretty cute.  They were very excited when Jay was able to make it to their meet last week.  It was the first one he was able to be to since he was out of town the week before.  We made sure he blocked out his day this week so he can be there for the final one.
