Sunday morning we got up ate breakfast, packed a lunch and headed out on a ride over the mountain. Jay has been wanting to do this for a while and since we had the whole day to do it we decided this was a good time go. We were able to listen to all of conference as we drove and the kids were really good to sit and listen while it was on. In between sessions we stopped and had a picnic with the kids. The colors were so beautiful up there. We made another stop before lunch at this little pond.
There were lots of little fish in the streams flowing into the pond.
The boys thought they might be able to catch them if they held still enough, but no luck.
So Jay tried to help them out. They ended up finding a cup and trying that way.
They finally caught one that stayed in the cup. They caught a couple but they would jump out of the cup before Jay could get his hand over it to show it to the kids. They were so excited when he finally got one.

We had a great time together as a family listening to conference and enjoying a beautiful drive.
